There are 7 days in a week:

  • The first day is called Monday
  • The second day is called Tuesday
  • The third day is called Wednesday
  • The fourth day is called Thursday
  • The fifth day is called Friday
  • The sixth day is called Saturday
  • The seventh day is called Sunday

 

Saturday and Sunday are at the end of the week which is why we call them the weekend.
